About Darrell’s Plumbing, LLC 

Darrell’s Plumbing was established by my father Darrell Mattingly in November of 1989. He comes from a family of plumbers; his father Jim Mattingly who owned Mattingly’s Plumbing for many years. Darrell had many of his uncle’s and brothers who also were and are plumbers today. He started this business with $8,000 dollars that bought his first plumbing van and the tools needed to complete plumbing jobs and being the sole employee for many years. I can remember going on jobs starting at a young age of 5 or 6. For many years I worked full time for my father, but life drew me in other directions for my careers. Even in that time I would always find myself coming and helping my Dad out when he needed an extra hand. Over those years I always talked about wanting to buy the company when he was ready to retire. I have had many conversations, “If the business was mine this is what I would do.” In February of 2020 my father came to me and asked if I was serious about wanting to buy the business and take it over. The answer was an instant “YES”. We had long discussions and came to the conclusion of me purchasing the business in January of 2021. Then the Covid pandemic hit and my dad decided that there wasn’t any better time than now to go ahead and retire. I became the owner of Darrell’s Plumbing, LLC. on July 7, 2020. July 7th was the chosen date because my dad wanted his date of retirement to be the wedding anniversary of his parents, Jim and Wilma Mattingly. I could not have agreed with him more. Now the tables have turned and I am the one seeking my father's advice with the business. I am forever grateful and blessed that I have had a father to lead me in a career that I have come to love, and respect more than I ever had before.
